"Maia"
Maia was about 12 years old when I learned about rehab for dogs.  I was having my own therapy for my knee with Cassy, when I saw her little write up about canine therapy on the wall.    We had been giving Maia glucosamine and pain medicine for her arthritis for about 2 years, but it was getting harder for her to walk and she didn't even want to chase her tennis ball.  It seemed liked the meds weren't working as well.  Exercise is suppose to help arthritis, but if in pain, how are they suppose to exercise?!   So, we gave Cassy a call and signed up Maia for water therapy.  Within the first week, we could tell the difference in Maia's walk.   Cassy was patient and loving with Maia; it was as if Maia was her own dog.  Soon Maia was even going after her ball again. With the help of therapy, Maia lived comfortably to be over 14 yrs old!  At the age of "98", Maia decided it was time to rest..   Mary Lou S.

"Blue"
I got Blue because I wanted a life-long companion. For me, that includes all kinds of outdoor activities. When he was ran over by a truck in my own yard, that was bad enough. But then to be told that he might never be able to walk without pain was a double whammy. Because of Cassy, Blue has exceeded the doctor's expectations and is a happy, active german shepherd. She didn't just rehab a dog, she made my dream possible.  Donna S.

"Toby" (aka Hotrod)
When my year-old dog, Toby, was diagnosed with Grade III patella luxation in first one knee and then the other, he had to have two reconstructive surgeries a few months apart.  In each instance Toby experienced a quick and complete recovery, because of his post-surgery rehab program with Cassy Englert and Chattanooga Canine Rehab & Wellness.
Each time, Cassy led Toby to regain confidence in using his surgically repaired knee, so that he regained his normal gait, full range of motion and full muscle mass in each back leg more quickly than his veterinarian had expected!!  Cassy was also a great coach for me, so that I knew how to help Toby progress between therapy sessions. Cassy’s professional skills and her loving treatment and encouragement of her furry patients establish a trust relationship with both pet and owner that assures the very best outcomes.  At age four, Toby is a lively, athletic and happy dog with many years of fun ahead, thanks to Cassy’s outstanding skills and caring for her patients.

"Kip"
Cassy Englert has been a Godsend to Southern Comfort Maltese Rescue (SCMR).  She has assisted us with several animals who needed rehabilitation through physical therapy.  We have discovered that therapy can make all the difference in the quality of life that an animal can have.  One success story is Kip.  Kip came to SCMR unable to walk.  Several people even suggested that perhaps he should be euthanized.  He was such a loving, happy little guy that we just didn't have the heart to do this.  We felt he deserved a chance.  After going to several specialists, including the University of TN in Knoxville, we were told that surgery would be unsuccessful on his hips and luxating patellas since he was unable to walk.  They suggested physical therapy, and we discovered Cassy.  She began working with Kip, and she made all the difference in the world.  He slowly became stronger and started walking.  He is now a healthy, happy little boy who can run and even do stairs!!!!"  No surgery required and no longer needs pain medication.  Melissa T.

"William"
William was only 5 years old when he had his "stroke". It left his right side paralysed. I got Cassy's card from our vets and immediately emailed Cassy to see if she could help. We came in to see her. Even though it didn't look like she had much to work with, after looking him over she said she could help. We spent the whole summer working with Cassy to get William on his feet and it worked!  A vet at RIVER made the comment that she didn't think the therapy really did anything but after seeing all the progress William had made she was a believer. I think one of the reasons why William did so well was Cassy. She has such a love for animals I think they really respond to her. I know William loved her alot.
